I blame the law. If they'd just let people have fun, they will learn how to control the cars instead of trying to go too hard on the rare occasions that they do. On a serious note though, driver's don't let their skills build up by casually working themselves up to being able to go all out. They just go "Oh, they did it so I can too" and go balls out without really knowing what they're doing.

It’s funny.. the Blazer.. I witnessed (well, we heard it right outside in the street in front of my friend’s house, then rushed out to see what happened) a horrible accident with a 1995 teal colored truck in March 1995. The Blazer, speeding excessively on the windy 2-lane road next to her house, lost control, glanced off one then slammed into another utility pole. The truck then went airborne, showing its headlights in a neighbor’s 2nd floor room as it tumbled through the air. It came to rest on its wheels just feet away from the house across from my friend’s. This was a block that was up a hill from the 2-lane road, and the houses at the corner (my friend’s and the one across the street from her where the car came to rest) were also higher than the road. There were bits of the Blazer’s paint, speckles of teal all over the place.. two passengers ejected, and items from the vehicle were on the main road hundreds of feet away. Awful.
